Tipton school to host STEM night in middle school commons
The Tipton community school district will host a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) open house night from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 21 in the middle school commons.
Students taking part include the first through third grades’ SPARK program, the fourth through eighth grades’ Lego League, the fifth grade robotics class and the high school Project Lead The Way (PLTW) classes such as Introduction to Engineering Design, Principles of Engineering and BioTech, which will have projects to display.
The high school’s First Tech Challenge student group will also have robots they built for competition to demonstrate and the high school physics class will have student built catapults to show and demonstrate.
This is the first STEM open house held in Tipton and it will showcase many of the opportunities for students of all ages to get involved and learn.
