Tipton's Fourth Of July Celebration
Sunday, July 4th

8:00 a.m. - 5K Walk/Run - Start and Finsh at St. Mary's Hall· Pick up forms at ALL Tipton Banks and New Body Fitness (Starting June 4th ) · Return Forms to New Body Fitness or Dale Jedlicka, 540 E. 4th Street, Tipton or contact Dale at 319-270-4590 · Cost $20 prior to 5 pm on June 28th · $10 for children under 12 doing the 5K and Under 16 to run the one mile option · Registraton on July 3rd from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Knights of Columbus Hall at St. Mary's Church · Donations are accepted

11:00 a.m. - Parade (Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place for the following categories Float, Car, Vintage Tractor. Judging will begin at 10:30 am Registration not necessary). Parade Theme: HEROES IN OUR HEARTS. This year we are honoring our Healthcare providers as the Grand Marshal leading the parade! If you are a Frontline Healthcare Worker and want to be in the parade we welcome you! Please report by 10:30 am behind the courthouse on Meridian Street

11:30 a.m. - UNTIL SOLD OUT - Butterfly Chops at Family Foods by the Tipton Chamber

Softball Tournaments at the City Park

1:00 - 4:00 p.m. - Swim at the James Kennedy Aquatic Center ($2 per person, under 2 is free, children MUST be accopanied by an adult. If you hold a membership card at the Aquatic Center there is no fee)

1 pm OR 4 pm - 4th of July themed painting classes by Christine Boeve at Fresh Paint located at 118 E. 5th Street. Registration is limited and required. Go to Events at Fresh Paint by Christine Boeve on Facebook or call 319-321-5499. Cost is $20
