Tipton’s Winter Express

The Tipton Chamber of Commerce will be hosting Tipton’s Christmas Celebration and Tour of Lights on December 10 from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Tipton.  Enjoy the charm of the popular horse-drawn trolley rides, Christmas music, and Community soup supper.  Take a stroll through historic downtown where businesses will be aglow with sidewalk luminaries and decorated window displays. Don’t forget to include some holiday shopping at local businesses! Bring coats, mittens and kids and enjoy the Holiday Season with family and friends in downtown Tipton
 
Tipton Lions Horse-drawn Tour of Lights – 5 to 8 p.m.   - Tours will be boarding at the Hardacre Theater and St. Mary’s Hall.  The Prairie Hills bus and tractors with wagons will also be available for the Tour of Lights.
 
Community Soup Supper at St. Mary’s Hall – 4 to 8 p.m. – Choice of chicken noodle, chili and potato soups, hot roasted turkey & grilled cheese sandwiches, assorted relish, dessert, milk, tea or coffee.  $7.00 & $5.00 (5-12 years).  Ages to 5 years – FREE ~ Proceeds will benefit the Bread of Life Food Pantry, Tipton Ministerial Association and Backpack Buddies. Tipton Lions will conduct KidSight Vision Screening for children 6 months-48 months of age

Santa in Tipton - 5 to 7 p.m. Santa arrives in downtown Tipton by local firetruck at 5 p.m.  You can visit him at the Fire Station

Window Decorating ContestDowntown stores will have decorated windows that will have been judged. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Ribbons will be awarded

Cedar County Attic – 5 to 8 p.m.Live window display of Santa and Mrs. Claus, Music and Christmas Cookies for children to decorate, reenactment of 3rd Calvary and Beckler’s wood carving display

Dozer’s Flowers, Gifts & Coffee Shop – 5 p.m. will be showing the movie Polar Express
 
Old Cedar County Jail Open House – 5 to 8 p.m. Come and visit Mrs. Claus and shop the bake sale!  Buchanan Winery will also have a wine tasting and gift baskets for sale

D'Alicias - 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy listening to Christmas music while eating a cup of soup and cupcake for $3.00.  A special Christmas tree is set up to take donations for Tipton's Animal Shelter
