The City is in the midst of a new municipal water tower construction project. This half-million gallon tower will replace the existing, antiquated 250,000-gallon tower adjacent to City Hall. The new tower is being constructed adjacent to the municipal water treatment plant on Lynn Street.

On September 6th the tower started going upwards - with the shaft and lower half of the tank being erected in a single day. Some of the shots from that day were taken from the existing water tower a block away.

Two days later the top half of the tank was attached. In early October the painting process began.
