The Tipton Community School District serves approximately 900 K-12 students in three buildings and is consistently recognized as one of the best schools in eastern Iowa. The class sizes are small, the educators are top-notch and students are high-achieving. Tipton High School offers class-based and extracurricular programs normally only found in larger districts. Also, the high school has gone through extensive renovations on their weight room and auditorium. The K-8 facility includes a 1,300 seat competition gym that adjoins the middle school and elementary buildings.
