The seven-member Tipton Development Commission was established to facilitate a partnership between the Tipton Chamber of Commerce (2 members), Tipton Economic Development Corporation (2 members), three at large members, plus 2 non-voting members from among the Mayor and City Council.
The Economic Development Director is responsible for the promotion of Tipton as a great place to live and do business, working towards downtown revitalization and researching grants and other funding sources to aid in Tipton's community development efforts.The Economic Development Director carries out the priorities and initiatives of the Tipton Development Commission as well as facilitates community-minded programs directed toward Tipton's further progress as a thriving business community with a high quality of life.
