EMS Job Announcement

The City of Tipton is seeking qualified applicants for part time EMS providers at the EMT, AEMT and Paramedic certification level with at least one year of experience. The Tipton Ambulance Service operates two ambulances runs an average of 600 calls per year using a hybrid staffing approach. Applicants must be comfortable working with minimal supervision in stressful environments and willing to function in administrative and educational functions when not on calls.
Preferred applicants should seek to be expanding their knowledge as a EMS provider in a rural setting and have an interest in engaging with the community through public outreach and education.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT:

Public Works Full-Time Position
 
Starting March 18, 2024, through March 29, 2024, the City of Tipton Public Works Department will be accepting applications for a City Worker II position.  Requirements include a Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (Class A preferred) and a high school diploma.  The City is looking for a self-motivated applicant with a strong sense of teamwork and great work ethic.
            The position will include a strong emphasis on outside construction including, but not limited to water main repair, concrete work, asphalt patching, storm and sanitary sewer repair.  The position will also require general street construction and maintenance, tree work, snow removal and this position will also serve as a backup for the City’s automated garbage truck driver.  Experience with any of those skill will be considered.  Additionally, foreman and leadership experience with a small construction crew will be considered.  Other equipment operation experience relative to the position includes skid steer and backhoe operation and such experience will be considered.
            A candidate with a background in equipment maintenance and mechanical/electric background is preferred.  Applications can be picked up and returned to City Hall, 407 Lynn St., Tipton, by 4:00 p.m., March 29, 2024.
