Tipton Business Park became the first property in Iowa to earn “Shovel Ready Iowa Certification,” a distinction recognized during an April 18, 2011 ceremony in Tipton attended by Governor Terry Branstad, Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, and Congressman Dave Loebsack.
The independent certification program was developed to minimize risk for communities, property owners, and companies evaluating sites within the seven-county Corridor Alliance region for business growth or relocation. Designated as a certified Shovel-Ready Iowa site in the Rural Industrial category, Tipton Business Park is positioned to accommodate industrial expansion projects.
